    Responsibilities

    CADD Technician II - Civil Engineering

     

    Intermediate level CADD position which, under general supervision, with some exercise of judgment, prepares computer-generated engineering drawings according to established standards and procedures.

     

    Core Responsibilities

    • Prepares engineering drawings from rough sketches or from general engineering and design information (verbal instructions and notes) using CADD software programs.
    • Revises or changes drawings, traces and/or copies existing drawings and completes simple calculations with specific instructions.
    • Understands, follows and maintains a current knowledge of the company’s standard CADD procedures for layering and sheet layout.
    • Maintains schedules and offers progress reports to supervisor.


    Qualifications
    Education

    • Minimum of high school diploma or GED and computer-related technical school certificate, degree or equivalent training, with courses in computer-aided drafting, or equivalent experience.

     

    Experience

    • 2 to 4 years of computer-aided drafting experience.

     

    Knowledge & Skills

    • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D

     

    Special

    • Occasional assistance with hardware maintenance and CADD standards development.
    • OSHA-10 or -30 certification preferred

     

    Physical Requirement

    • Walk job sites during inspections, sometimes on uneven terrain
    • Carry construction tools and equipment (up to 30 pounds) onto job sites with regularity
