    The Vertex Companies, Inc. (VERTEX) is looking for an individual to join our team as a Business Development Associate in our Irvine, California office. VERTEX is a rapidly growing, multi-national consulting firm that is experiencing exponential growth, and we’re looking to augment our team of talented individuals. This is a full-time, salaried position offering comprehensive benefits.


    The Business Development Associate’s responsibility is to develop and foster a pipeline of new business that relates to the Construction Consulting Services Group, including Owner’s Representation, Tenant Improvement, Litigation Support and Surety.


    Core Responsibilities

    • Researching and identifying viable markets for each consulting vertical.
    • Assisting Managers with preparing a list of qualified prospects routinely.
    • Preparing materials for meetings.
    • Setting up meetings between qualified prospects and Managers (and potentially attend meetings).
    • Setting up meetings between current clients and Managers for account management purposes.
    • Attending industry events monthly.
    • Coordinating and oversee internal meetings for Managers.
    • Identifying and analyzing competitors.
    • Maintaining VERTEX’s CRM software and Salesforce to ensure that prospecting and Account Management activity is properly recorded.
    • Coordinate with Marketing Team as necessary.
    • Identifying viable local tradeshows and conferences to attend as necessary.

     Position Requirements

    • Must possess excellent communication and organization skills.
    • Able to work with minimal oversight and take direction from Managers.
    • Other duties as assigned by Managers.
    • Occassionally travel required.



    • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field.

    Knowledge & Skills

    • Must be able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Must be flexible, adaptable and be able to work independently.
    • Must possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office application.
