    Responsibilities

    OptiStar Technology Consultants is looking for a consummate professional to develop and implement Technology Control Structures and Information Security related policies, programs and tools. You will provide specialized expertise and guidance on assessing risks, identifying potential security violations and inefficiencies as well as providing security solutions to mitigate risks and protect our valued customers. You may also participate on projects of moderate to high complexity and provide complex reporting, analysis, and assessments at the functional, business and enterprise level.

     Responsibilities

     

    • Design, Implement, and Document advanced technology solutions for our customers.
    • Manage Advanced Endpoint policies, definitions, and administration
    • Perform Vendor Security Risk Audits and Assessments
    • Perform Vulnerability Scans
    • Incident Reporting and Management
    • Maintain Security Awareness Training for customers and internal staff
    • Advise on Compliance and Regulatory Security Changes as necessary
    • Respond to breaches and security incidents in an urgent manner
    • Monitor email domain for potential exposures to risk and act on potential breaches
    • Develop, Advance, and Maintain areas of a specific IT Discipline – Cyber Security
    • IT Consultation with clients to improve their structure and security.
    • Report to and work with Project Managers on both internal and external IT Projects
    • Mentor team members on technical issues
    • Liaise with IT Vendors and other personnel to resolve problems
    • Collaborate closely with team members to solve critical problems and maintain our aggressive SLAs
    • Firewall and Security Appliance management
    • Backup and Disaster Recovery

    Qualifications

    Experience

    • At least 10 years of professional IT experience
    • At least 5 years working as a cyber security professional
    • Experience with Security Awareness Training is a plus
    • Experience with Security Audits and Risk Assessments
    • Experience with security incident responses a plus
    • Experience with Remote Administration of Security Solutions – Plus if in ESET
    • Ability to work independently on a variety of assignments with minimal supervision
    • Ability to initiate, coordinate and prioritize responsibilities and follow through on tasks to completion
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Organizational and self-directing skills
    • Experience in Penetration Testing a significant bonus

    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent program in Information Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or similar field experience is required
    • Completion of at least one of the following: GCIA, GPEN, GWAPT, GCIH, GSEC, CCNP, CISSP preferred
