Responsibilities

The Vertex Companies, Inc. (VERTEX) is looking for an individual to join our team as a Web Content Specialist in our Weymouth, MA office. VERTEX is a rapidly growing, multi-national consulting firm that is experiencing exponential growth, and we’re looking to augment our team of talented individuals.

                                                            

This position reports to the Director of Marketing and offers the opportunity to work alongside highly experienced professionals. This position focuses on content and web management for a diverse, global firm that sells Forensic & Litigation Consulting, Design Engineering, Construction and Environmental services. The Specialist’s responsibility is to optimize website content and perform as a website analytics subject matter expert.

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute the roadmap and day to day maintenance for VERTEX’s website properties.
    • Add, modify, and remove content from VERTEX’s website.
  • Be the go-to tech resource for content authors using our Content Management System (CMS).
  • Maintain VERTEX’s CMS to ensure that the website is set up to target leads through search engine optimization (SEO) and track web interaction.
  • Assist Marketing Director with preparation of web content.
  • Coordinate with Marketing to understand and promote the VERTEX brand within company guidelines.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to identify and prioritize upcoming website initiatives and projects.
  • Solicit feedback for website improvements and enhancements.

 

Position Requirements

  • Prior experience working with WordPress.
  • An working knowledge of Adwords, analytics, and rankings.
  • 1-3 years of experience in search engine optimization.
  • Ablility to work with minimal oversight, but take direction from Senior managers.
  • Great attitude and strong writing skills.

 

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, Communications, or related field required.

 

Knowledge & Skills

  • 1-3 years of marketing and or content management experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of SEO techniques.
  • Excellent communication and writing abilities.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Must be flexible, adaptable and be able to work independently.
